Camouflage!

[]
At the Post Office today, I saw a soldier wearing a camouflage uniform.
[]
This was not the old camouflage, with those familiar green-black-brown “wavy blotches”.
[]
This was that new camouflage, much, much lighter, with that desert light-grey-&-sand color scheme.
[]
Now, just to confess, I want to disclose that I am not –not now, nor ever have been– part of that Urban Camouflage world, never have been part of that Army of Courageous
Consumers who prowl the streets fully camouflaged, some with combat boots, and even those old WW1 olive kitbags.
[]
I don’t even own one item of camouflage clothing.
[]
[]
But this new light-grey-and-sand camouflage? When did this come in? I guess Iraq. But–which Iraq?) Bush 41’s war? Or Bush 43’s “WMD” war? (Not that it really matters.)
[]
[]
Now, looking at it more closely, I realized this was not your old, solid-blotch camouflage –this camou was, wow! how about that? –digitized!
[]
Optical illusion on top of….optical illusion!
